Enigma Box

Scientists use 5 skills: observing, inferring, classifying, predicting, and making models. In the enigma box activity observation was used to see what the box looked like and to see when the water came out. Predicting was used to guess what the was for. To guess how the box worked inferring was used. A model was made to understand the box and nothing was classifyed.
The enigma box is a box of confusion. It is a black rectangular box with 4 plexy glass sides and 2 ends. The top has a large hole and a small hole while the bottom has a tube coming out. At 350ml water started dripping and at 500ml the all the water started pouring out.
Inside the enigma box is a mystery at first sight. I think it comes out when there is enough pressure. One example is a faucet because you need pressure for it to go through the pipes and out the faucet. Also your bladder is an example because when it is full your body will push it out.
In the confusion of the Enigma Box answers were found. The box has a tube inside that is twisted in a loop. When the box was fill to a certain point the water overflows the tube. Once it started flowing the air pressure would keep pushing it through the tube until the box was empty. That was the solution to the Enigma Box
